Timothy R. Kirk, O.D.:  Dr. Kirk graduated in 1985 with honors from Ferris State University, and has since practiced in medical settings with internists, pediatricians and ophthalmologists.  Prior to opening Town & Country Eyecare in 1993, he served as clinical director for one of Michigan's largest eye surgery institutes.

Dr. Kirk and his family have made Novi their home since 1988.  They are active in their local church and various children's activities.  Dr. Kirk enjoys family time while camping, fishing and traveling in the Midwest.

Dr. Kirk attends several continuing education courses throughout the country during each year.

Experience

Town & Country Eyecare - February 1994 to present.  Established a primary care optometric practice in my hometown of Novi.  Emphasis placed on service and comprehensive ocular health evaluations  and disease co-management.  Full scope care available  including contact lens service and optical dispensary.

Associated Eye Institutes - January 1993 to February 1994.  Clinical Director responsible for overseeing clinic operations, developing co-management model and implementing practice changes, establishing a network of referring doctors, provide local continuing education seminars, internally co-manage secondary and tertiary eyecare patients with staff ophthalmologists.

Selectcare HMO -  June 1987 to January 1993.  All aspects of primary eyecare and contact lenses, including co-managing ocular pathology and emergencies in a multidisciplinary HMO setting.  Supervision of staff and management of satellite eye clinic.  Full time since January 1989.

Self-Employed - June 1987 to December 1988.  Primary eyecare and contact lenses in ophthalmology group practice and private optometric practices.  Consultant performing retinal fluorescein angiography for two private ophthalmology practices.  Part time at Selectcare HMO, subsequently accepted full time staff position.

Balian Eye Center - March 1986 to June 1987.  Staff optometrist in ophthalmology/optometry group practice.  Primary eyecare, low-vision care, contact lenses and assisting in medical/surgical care.  Responsible for the acquisition of a new fundus camera and on-going fundus photography, fluorescein angiography and slit-lamp biomicrography services.

Martin Guinta, O.D. - May 1985 to February 1986.  Primary eyecare in private office and a multidisciplinary HMO clinic which included ocular disease co-management and triage.
